Application of mercaptan (A) low temperature epoxy curing agent

At present, the commonly used epoxy resin curing agents are acid anhydrides, dicyandiamines, imidazoles, aromatic amines, etc. These curing agents usually need to achieve the curing of epoxy resin under high or medium temperature conditions.

In the field of room temperature and low temperature curing, only mercaptan curing agent can achieve rapid curing, and the curing product has good toughness.

There are many kinds of mercaptan curing agents, and the common mercaptan curing agents are mainly liquid oligomers or polymercaptan monomers. The selection of accelerators for different structures of mercaptan curing agents is not the same, and the curing temperature and curing time are also different.

Mercaptan is a class of non-aromatic compounds containing sulfhydryl functional group (-SH). Structurally, it can be seen as formed after the oxygen in ordinary alcohol is replaced by sulfur.

Mercaptan can achieve rapid curing at room temperature, generally with epoxy curing speed of about 5 minutes, especially thin layer curing, is also one of its excellent key properties.

Application field

1. Epoxy curing agent: In the application of two-component epoxy curing fast drying adhesive with DMP as the accelerator, it can cure in 1-5 minutes under the condition of -20℃.

2. UV curing adhesive: Used in light curing nail polish adhesive, photoresist, 3D printing forming photosensitive resin, high film thickness can be fast curing with low energy. Can adapt to 415nm, 365nm wavelength LED cold light source, high pressure mercury lamp, laser conditions surface dry excellent, good compatibility with the main resin, transparent colorless odorless.

3. UV ink: In UV offset printing, gravure, rolling and other low film thickness, low energy, fast printing process applications can improve the curing rate, the coating surface dry and non-stick. Improve yellowing resistance, enhance adhesion to metal, glass, polymer materials.
